Take this magical tour through scoring a game or video. Have you ever wondered how music is so tightly tied to action in a movie - get a glimpse into the world of scoring!

 

The instructor will guide you though 13-weeks of learning what makes a score, the history of film making and scoring, the software in which to compose a score, seeing scores developed by past students and finally you will collaborate on a team project.

 

Homework will be assigned each week to help reinforce what you learn in class and to give you an opportunity to become familiar with the software and develop your score. Once the class project begins, you will collaborate remotely with your team to develop your project.

Class uses Garage Band and Musicscore. Introduction to DAW, Notation MIDI. See video. Classes will require your own computer or phone.
