Plugged In is about music but it’s also about supporting the growth and health of our communities. Plugged In provides a platform for our students to give back by turning the “recital” at the end of each session into a benefit concert for a charity chosen by the students. Our students come together to choose that charity at Community Engage.

Join remotely via Zoom. Check your email or contact us for zoom information.
At Community Engage students are encouraged to present charities and causes that they wish to support. Presenters can explain how they learned about the charities, what needs are being met by the charities, and why they feel it is important for Plugged In to support them. Students can also present a cause if they don’t have a specific charity in mind. We can help find a suitable charity that represents the cause.
If there are students who have charities/causes they wish to nominate, but who don’t feel comfortable presenting to everyone, they can share with a staff member and we will share their ideas.
At the end of the event, students vote to determine the recipient charitable organization for the concert. Students who would like to participate in the voting process, but don’t wish to make a nomination should join in too!
